Julia Williams: Interior Design '24 - Belonging at Wade

Julia Williams

Associate of Arts in Interior Design '24

What inspired you to pursue your degree and major?

All my life I’ve enjoyed organizing, rearranging, and decorating, so going into interior design has always been a dream of mine.

What is your career goal?

I want to have my own home renovation business, where I can redesign existing homes to be more functional and beautiful for a new family.

How is Wade helping you to pursue your career goals?

Wade’s professors teach you about their real-life experiences in the industry helping me have an understanding of what future jobs might be like after college.

What are some of your most memorable moments so far while a student at Wade College?

I'm an anxious person and I can remember how at ease I felt the moment I stepped foot in Donna’s office, she was so inviting and made me feel like I belonged at Wade.

What has been your favorite class so far? Why?

Drawing 1. I had no idea what I was capable of creating before Mr. Reynaga’s class.

What do you enjoy most about your Wade College experience?

I love how small Wade College is, everyone knows everyone and helps each other out along the way! Having small classes also gives me the ability to talk to my professors in class and get answers to questions that I might not get the opportunity to ask in a big university classroom.
