What inspired you to pursue your degree and major?

I was initially drawn to pursue my degree and major due to my extensive experience working in the fashion industry for the past 10 years, primarily in the manufacturing sector. Throughout my career, I've developed a keen interest in the dynamics of the industry, particularly in merchandising and marketing. However, I recognized a gap in my knowledge regarding the local scene's marketing and merchandising aspects. This inspired me to further my education and gain a deeper understanding of these critical areas, ultimately aiming to leverage this knowledge in establishing and managing my own fashion brand in the future.

What is your career goal?

My career goal is to establish and manage my own fashion brand in the future. I aspire to create a unique and innovative brand that resonates with consumers, offering quality products that inspire confidence and style.

What has been your favorite class so far? Why?

My favorite class thus far has been Buying. This subject was entirely new to me, and I found it incredibly fascinating. What made the class particularly enjoyable was our instructor, who possessed a deep understanding of the subject matter and had a knack for making complex concepts easy to grasp. His engaging teaching style and real-world examples brought the material to life, making the learning experience both informative and enjoyable.

What advice would you give to a brand-new student?

A few pieces of advice I would give would be to stay curious and explore the subject as much as you can. Network, while you are at this great college, don’t let any chance of networking go by. Talk to your peers and teachers, discuss your ideas, and do not be afraid to ask questions.
