Meet DaRon Williams, AA Fashion Design & Product Development '25 Alum from Labadieville, LA!
What inspired you to pursue your degree and major?
My initial passion was for sneakers. I used to customize sneakers and resell to make money throughout my previous degree. I was a sneakerhead who had all the sneakers, but no clothes. So I began making my own clothes.
What are your future career goals?
My dream for a while now has been to be a designer or creative designer for NIKE, while also pursuing a career as a business owner with my own brand.
What do you enjoy about your Wade College experience?
I enjoyed the close interactions with the faculty. It feels like family every time I walk into the building.
What was your favorite class/project at Wade College? Why?
I would say my favorite class was Pattern Making because I was able to make a garment I designed from scratch and I had complete control over the outcome.
What is a recent accomplishment that you are proud of? Why?
Graduating, because moving to a new state, working overnight, and attending class throughout the day isn't for the weak. I stuck through it and finished.
What advice would you give to a brand-new student?
Be yourself and be open to change.
Where can we find you online?
