Meet Karina Gonzalez, 2020 Associate of Arts in Interior Design Alumna of Wade College! She is the CEO / Senior Interior Designer at ZBR Design Firm.

Tell us about your work. What do you get to do?

They say it's not work if you love what you do! It's true! I get paid to solve problems in lovely homes with amazing people. Working together with others in the industry to fulfill clients' end goals is the best while also building a secured future for my daughter and loved ones, all while being inspired by design.

How did your Wade College experience help prepare you for what you're doing now?

My professors, the staff, and my classmates while at Wade are the foundation of my career and my success! Learning to be a student and lean on others without a big ego in the way was very important to allow my growth!

How did you get to where you are at now?

I am very spiritual and this is all unfolding as I continue having a prayer life and faith in Jesus!

What opportunities, decisions, or events shaped your professional life?

The opportunity to work with repeat clients is priceless! The trust is there!

What advice do you have for students interested in your field?

Enjoy what you do!

What are some of your proudest accomplishments?

Working for an NFL proactive athlete who has used ZBR DESIGN FIRM for several of their properties in different states! Knowing what their style is and them allowing me creative control!
