What inspired you to pursue your degree and major?

I’ve always had a passion for fashion. I realized this in 8th grade when visiting a fashion school in LA.

What is your career goal?

I would like to be a designer or creative director for a fashion house.

What is House of DIFFA and how did you get involved?

DIFFA stands for Design Industry Foundation Fighting Aids. Each year, DIFFA hosts House of DIFFA which is a creative black-tie gala used as a fundraiser for the foundation. I was nominated by Wade College to create a one-of-a-kind jacket for the foundation to auction off at the event in the luxury section.

What was the inspiration for the House of DIFFA piece that you created?

Studio 54 was my main inspiration. After researching the style and type of people invited to the exclusive club I wanted to create a jacket that a movie or rock STAR would wear on stage or set.

How has your experience been working with DIFFA? What have you enjoyed most so far?

My experience has been great! Their communication with me throughout the process was quick and worked with my school hours.

Any advice for future Wade students?

My best advice for future students would be to build your network through your professors' connections and don’t be afraid to volunteer your time. You won’t have this opportunity forever and it’s key to learn about who’s who in the fashion industry.
